Hello, Gamers! Today we have some more news for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. In the new “Seek Your Treasure!” trailer, we get more information that focuses a bit on the three different journeys you’ll set out on in the game. Alongside some newly revealed characters, we also get confirmation on returning pokémon and three new pokémon are revealed as well. If you haven’t watched the trailer yet, go ahead and do so below.
What we get to see first is the player taking on the “villain” team of the game. Just like the last two games, these guys don’t seem to be of much threat and are probably honestly the throwaway bad guys. You make your way through each of their hideouts, battle them, and eventually battle the team leader.
The leader of the Fire Crew is Mela. She faces you on top of that crazy-looking car we saw in one of the earlier trailers. At least now we know what it is for. Although, it doesn’t really seem safe having a pokémon battle on top of a car.
Path of Legends
During the Path of Legends story, you team up with your classmate Arven to search for something called the Herba Mystica. This may also be how you run into the legendary pokémon of the game. At least, that’s what the name implies at least.
Along the way, you’ll run into fairly large pokémon known as Titans. These greatly resemble the totem pokémon from Sun and Moon. If you’ve had the pleasure of playing Legends: Arceus, you may make the connection that all of these giant pokémon are probably what that game calls “Alpha” pokémon.
In the trailer, we see a Titan Klawf hanging from a cliff. Klawf is also one of three newly revealed pokémon in this trailer. They’re a rock-type crab pokémon with eyes that spin and can see all around. I wonder if we’ll be able to catch the Titan Klawf in-game…
Lastly, we get to see more details about the gym challenge in this game. A unique new feature to Scarlet and Violet is that we can challenge the gyms in any order. So far, we’ve seen the player fight in the ice gym against Grusha and in this trailer, we see them challenge the grass gym led by Brassius.
We are also introduced to the Pokémon League Chairwoman in this trailer. Her name is Geeta and it says on her bio that among the region’s champions, she is the most skilled of all. I would assume that this implies that there is not just one region champion like in the games before.
Do we simply attain the title of Champion and stop, or will we eventually have to face Geeta in battle? Despite the fact we have been shown quite a bit of information, we still don’t know a lot about Scarlet and Violet at all, which, is probably a good thing. It leaves plenty of surprises for those of us excited to play the game in November.
That’s all I have for you for today, Gamers! I plan on doing two game reviews as my next two articles for next week so stay on the lookout. Don’t forget to check out my previous Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet articles linked below if you want to stay up to date on all of the current information we have about the game. Until next time! Later, Gamers!
